This artwork is rooted in a childhood memory of the 5 AM Shipping Forecast.
During teenage summer holidays, my dad’s love for his boat dictated our days—a good forecast meant casting off the ropes immediately, while a bad one meant heading back to sleep.

Reflecting the more subdued, cool tones of its title, this piece explores a deeply tranquil maritime atmosphere.
The composition features a beautifully blended, breezy sky that softens into an expansive range of deep marine and turquoise blues, anchored by a rich, earthy gold and brown shoreline.
