These artworks explore the rural landscape from a bird’s-eye view, capturing the dynamic interplay of shapes, colours, contours, and lines that define the land.
I work mainly with acrylic on canvas. Sometimes working over the painting with inktense pencil or blocks. The smaller paintings are mounted on board.
This series is also a deeply personal practice. While I don’t often venture out into the landscape itself, painting these scenes allows me to connect with the world in a meaningful way.
